Is it possible to solo inferno mode in diablo 3

It sounds like you're failing to account for the fact that the difficulty is scaling, imthedan. A 4 person inferno game isnt the same as a 1 person inferno game, it gets harder to account for the people.

If the scaling was absolutely perfect, a 4 man game would be exactly the same difficulty as a 1 person game. I dont understand why it should require team play tbh. Isn't the goal to have a challenge? Regardless of how many players there are in the game. Can't a game be difficult to solo? If anything it should be easier to make the game challenging to solo than it is to make he game challenging in groups.

Too many factors come into play with groups. It is a shame that Blizzard seems okay with group-play being easier though. They should try to make the scaling in multiplayer better, so full groups will still feel as challenged as solo players. Rather than mostly buffing HP of mobs, maybe they should look at buffing enemy speed in multiplayer, greatly buffing their resistance to CC, letting enemies have 5 elite affixes instead of 4, and stuff like that. I really really really don't. I'm not asking it to be impossible to beat, but I'm asking for challenge for years to come.

Not hammerdin ezmode hell solo enigma crap like in D2. I want there to be gear in inferno that is only obtainable in inferno, and that hell mode players do not get with ease because they cry about paying for the game and should be able to access everything easily etc. The reason I say this is because I'm thinking back to D2 and how easy the game was to beat.

The only way to truly test the limits of your character in D2 is through pvp. I put a lot more effort and resources into my pvp characters because they required way more planning and expensive gear. I never needed such good gear to beat hell mode, obviously.

Also, it just makes the game so much more addicting to me when I have long term goals within the game. If there are items that are only available in the later stages of inferno, and inferno is so hard that I would need a near-perfect gear setup to beat it, this would keep me playing a lot longer and encourage me to get godly.

So instead of only being driven to acquire perfect gear to kill people in pvp, I'd also be encouraged to get great gear for purposes of pve and by "great" I don't mean a shako or enigma That is something that D2 failed to do as far as pve goes.

Oh and it should certainly not necessarily force people to team play. You should be able to solo it with perfect gear and a large amount of skill. If you're not strong enough and you require a team, that's your problem.

I feel like Blizzard is going to make Inferno extremely difficult as to appease the hardcore audience and provide a never-ending challenge that you can't really outgear. The end-game needs to never be trivialized, as there is no continuing influx of new end-game content.

Hell might be where the more casual audience stays forever. Because we knew, no matter how good we are, our players are gonna be better. We focussed on making that as difficult as we could make it. Wilson said the hardcore "can absolutely solo" Inferno, as the game scales depending on the number of players there are, but that multiple skilled players co-ordinating abilities will have an easier time of it.

GTA 3 body armor guide - Where to find body armor and how to use it. Seriously, it's not an MMO, sjould be clear by now. Just compare it to D2. Can you solo Hell with blue crap items?

Hell no. But that doesn't mean D2 isn't soloable! Does one have the option to opt out of using a follower when playing alone? I remember there being a stir about this as some players were under the impression you were forced to have a follower with you at all times if playing alone. I have no source, but I remember a blue post saying that all modes can be soloed. After all it is a single-player game and also a multi-player game so it would make no sense that you can't finish it alone.

Something tell me it won't harder and not easier to do it alone but a lot less boring with your friends! I'm ashamed to say this, I love the arpg genre and diablo, have played a lot of diablo 1 and diablo 2 with varies mods.

However not a single time was I able to finish hell difficulty I either get bored or just find I am too weak in hell and cant be bothered playing more. This also happened in titan quest although I've never even finished the 2nd difficulty level in that game due to static map. Tbh I'm a big fan of the "lone wolf" hero scheme, I would rather solo the game instead of beating it with help.

Of course, after beatng it by myself I could try the co-op just for kicks, but diablo for me is way more fun when I know no one will help me. I even hate playing it multiplayer lol. Quote from Monteiro. I rather hope that the whole game is soloable as well. That said, i think it will be pretty dependent on specific class choices.

For instance, completing the game as a melee class seems like it will be much harder than completing it as a ranged. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they have perfect balance and melee will have high enough defense to survive.
